We currently have
membership shares available for purchase. These are purchased
directly
from the selling member but we've pulled together this
information sheet
to help acquaint you with the club and answer some common
questions. If
you are interested and meet the basic criteria explained below,
feel free
to contact us by e-mail at info@cascadeflyers.com
or by phone at 425-939-8505 (select option 0) and we'll put you
in touch
with the selling members!
About us:
We're a club of 30 members who own two Cessna aircraft hangared
at PAE
(Paine Field in Everett, WA). We've been in existence since the
early
1950s and are comprised of pilots from ATPs down to private VFR
pilots.
There is very good access to our aircraft (you
can see the aircraft schedule on our website to get an idea
of what
the current signups look like). Both aircraft are IFR equipped
and have
recent engine overhauls. Pictures of the
aircraft
can also be found at our website.
General Rules:
Our bylaws require that pilots have a minimum of 200 hours
to be considered
for membership although an exception can be made if the pilot is
instrument
rated. Our flight regulations are fairly standard but not
terribly constraining.
Landing only at charted private or public airstrips (paved or
not); an
aircraft taken for more than 24 hours gets charged for 1 hour
per day
unless there are extenuating circumstances (e.g. rain); Signups
are limited
between May and September to 3 future signups including: 1 at a
maximum
of 14 days and 2 more at a maximum of 7 days. You can request
exceptions
to these rules from the board.
Rates and Dues:
Our current monthly dues are set to cover all fixed expenses
such as hangar
rent, insurance (on which you would be covered), annuals, etc.
The hourly
charges are "wet" (fuel included), Tach time rates. Note that
Tach time is often about 10% less than Hobbes time (what is
usually charged
at FBOs) and we have no additional tax charged because, as a
member, you
own the aircraft. The current monthly dues and flying rates are
posted
on our main
web page.
Joining:
If you are interested, please contact us by e-mail at info@cascadeflyers.com
or by phone at 425-939-8505. We can provide additional
information including
the application procedure and copies of our club Bylaws and
Regulations.
Membership shares are usually purchased from individuals in the
club at
a price set by the selling member. You will need to attend a
board meeting
to meet with the board and be introduced to members prior to
joining.
You should bring your log book and application with you to this
meeting.
This is an additional opportunity to ask questions of the
membership and
for the club and you to learn more about each other. |
